GOARN Tier1.5 Training Workshopとは 

派遣前必須オンラインコースのTier1と、多職種から構成される国際的なアウトブレイク対応チームへの参加準備を行うTier2の中間コースで、GOARNミッションへの派遣経験専門家による経験共有、ケーススタディやグループディスカッション等を含むワークショップです。  

目的 

• GOARNおよびWHOの展開する国際的なアウトブレイク対応ミッションで必要とされる実践的な知識、スキルを習得する。 
• WHOおよびGOARNの講師・専門家からアウトブレイク対策、感染症危機への対応に関する最新情報を学ぶ。 
• グループワークやディスカッションを通じ、コミュニケーション力、チームビルディングや課題解決に向けた視点を培う。 

対象者

Laboratory, Epidemiology, Case Management, Infection Prevention Controlの専門家 
※今回の研修では、Laboratoryを優先に選考いたしますのでご了承ください。 
※また、本研修を受講されたことのない「初回の方」を優先します。

応募条件

1. 教育歴
感染症関連分野における学士号取得者: 検査(Laboratory)、疫学(Epidemiology)、公衆衛生（Public Health）、医学（Medicine）、看護学（Nursing）、薬学(Pharmacy)、獣医学(Veterinary Medicine)など。 さらに、同分野の修士号以上の学位があると望ましい。

2. 実務経験 
‐感染症関連分野における5年以上の実務経験を有する。 
-国内外を問わず、直近5年以内にアウトブレイク調査ミッションに参加している。もしくは、院内、国内、国外のいずれかにおいて、アウトブレイク対応の経験がある。 
-国立感染症研究所　実地疫学専門家養成コース(FETP)受講者、または、修了者。 
-感染症危機管理専門家養成プログラム(IDES)受講者、または、修了者。 
-国際緊急援助隊(JDR)感染症対策チーム登録者のうち、導入コース修了者。 

3.スキル
以下のような、派遣に必要なスキルを有する。
-優れたコミュニケーション及び交渉スキル 
-優れた分析・計画・組織対応スキル 
-チームワークを尊重して業務を遂行するスキル 
-重圧の下、かつ、多重責務でも優先順位をつけて業務を遂行するスキル 
-国際的なチームで業務を遂行するスキル 

4. 語学力
国際ミッションで円滑に業務が可能な英語力を有する。 目安は以下のとおり。
英語：TOEIC 730点以上、TOEFL 550点(iBT 79点)、IELTS 6.0以上

5. 派遣への意思
GOARNおよびWHOの国際ミッションへの参加を希望している。

1．推薦状：応募条件「3.スキル」に記載された必要スキル、および将来のアウトブレイク対応派遣への参加について述べた推薦状(英文1通)   
2．語学証明書の写し：応募条件「4)語学力」を満たす、各種英語試験の合格証明書・スコア証明書の写し。
　  各種試験未受験の場合は相当する証明書の写し(例：英語での国際コースの受講証明等) 
3．志望動機：研修への参加を希望する動機（英文1通、600単語以内）

About GOARN

GOARN is a WHO network of over 250 technical institutions and networks globally that respond to acute public health events with the deployment of staff and resources to affected countries.  Coordinated by an Operational Support Team based at the WHO headquarters in Geneva and governed by a Steering Committee, GOARN aims to deliver rapid and effective support to prevent and control infectious diseases outbreaks and public health emergencies when requested.

Training objectives

• To learn practical skills and knowledge required by the global outbreak mission of GOARN/WHO.   

• To learn the latest information regarding management of outbreak and responses towards health emergencies related to infectious diseases.  
• To build up the capacity of communication, team building and solving the issues, by the group work and discussion among the participants.  

The participants’ technical specialty   

The specialty of Laboratory is given the most priority. 
Other areas such as Epidemiology, Case Management, Infection Prevention Control can be also applied. 
※For the first time gives the priority.    
※Only residents in Japan can be accepted.

Outline of the training program 

• Date: Thursday 16th November 2023
• Time: 9:00-18:00 in Tokyo
• Venue: Tokyo (only the participants will be informed)
• Fee: Free of charge (travel cost is at own expenses) 
• Language: English (no translation offered)
• E-learning (pre-course work) to be required in prior to the training
• Certificate to be issued based on 100% attendance of the on-site training as well as the pre-course work 

Selection Criteria - Eligibility and Qualifications

1．Education
-Undergraduate degree(s) in at least one of the following fields is required:Laboratory, Epidemiology, Medicine, Public Health,Nursing, Pharmacy, Veterinary Medicine, or related fields of infectious diseases. 
-A Master’s or higher degree is an advantage. 

2．Working Experience
- More than five years of professional working experience in the relevant fields, such as infectious diseases and infection control, is required. 

3．Desired experiences

-Outbreak mission within the last 5 years in/out of the country  
-Trainee/ex-trainee of the Field Epidemiology Training Progrmme Japan (FETP) 
-Trainee/ex-trainee of the Training Programme of Infectious Disease Emergency Specialist (IDES) 
-Certified member of introductory course in JDR infectious disease control team

4．Skills 
-Excellent communication and negotiation skills 
-Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills 
-Ability to work in a team 
-Ability to work under pressure and prioritize the multiple tasks 
-Ability to work in a diverse setting

5．Languages 
English proficiency (ability to communicate in academic and professional settings) is required. 

6．Willingness for the deployment 
-Willingness to be deployed to international mission through GOARN/WHO is necessary 

Required Documents 

All applicants must submit as follows; 
1．A recommendation letter from your supervisor (ideally from a GOARN partner institution) on your capabilities and competencies and your intension for global deployment.
Only written English is acceptable. 
2．A copy of English score/certificate for Japanese applicants to be submitted.
The required score is as follows;
       TOEIC: 730 or higher
       TOEFL: 550 or higher (iBT 79 or higher) 
       IELTS: 6.0 or higher 
Or equivalent certificate such as international course to be submitted
3．A Personal statement to indicate your motivation towards the training (maximum 600 words).  Only written English is acceptable.
