Training

  • WHO GOARN Tier 1.5 Training Workshop (IPC/ Case Management Course) 2021
    November 17-November 18, 2021
In collaboration with WHO Headquarters, WHO Western Pacific Office (WPRO) and GOARN (Global Outbreak Alert Response Network), and with the support from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare in Japan, the online GOARN Training Workshop Tier 1.5 was held.
This year, we had participants from Australia, Singapore, and Fiji.
The training contents were fulfilling as the program was consisted of group work on case studies based on scenarios that GOARN's missions may face in the actual field, and experience-sharing sessions by WHO and Japanese experts who have been dispatched to GOARN as Infection Prevention and Control and case management specialists.
The event was a great success with the active participation of 31 trainees who are eager to contribute to international infectious disease control through GOARN overseas.
We truly hope that this training course will produce the next generation of professionals who will be at the forefront of international infectious disease outbreak control and who will be able to serve as a part of GOARN's international missions.
